PharGlass is a glass ampoule manufacturer producing Type I borosilicate ampoules for injectable pharmaceuticals, vaccines and diagnostics. Ampoules are sealed at both ends, so the drug never contacts a rubber stopper or a plastic closure — the glass itself is the primary container. We form, anneal, inspect and pack ampoules in a controlled cleanroom environment, with colour break ring and cut ring formats available from 1 ml to 20 ml.
Ampoule formats
Colour break ring ampoules carry a coloured ring at the neck that marks the opening point and reduces glass splinter risk during snapping. They are the preferred format for hospital and clinical use. Cut ring ampoules use a scored neck for opening and are common for older filling lines. Closed ampoules are supplied without an opening point for applications that require in-house cutting or for sample retention.

Clear and amber glass are available. Amber ampoules protect light-sensitive compounds without changing the filling line format. Dimensions follow the drawing agreed at quotation, and we can supply shrink-wrapped trays or nest-and-tub packaging for automated filling.
Filling line compatibility
Ampoules are supplied upright in trays or in nests and tubs, depending on the infeed of your washing and filling machine. We can provide dimensional drawings and sample sets so your line can be qualified before a production order. If you are converting from a cut ring to a colour break ring format, tell us the current machine model and we will confirm whether a format change is practical.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the MOQ for glass ampoules?
MOQ varies by capacity and packaging format. For standard 2 ml and 5 ml colour break ring ampoules, small trial orders are possible; larger volumes reduce unit cost. Send your annual volume for a precise quotation.
Do you produce colour break ring ampoules?
Yes. Colour break ring ampoules are our main format from 1 ml to 20 ml. Cut ring and closed ampoules can also be quoted.
Are your ampoules Type I borosilicate?
Yes. Pharmaceutical ampoules are made from Type I borosilicate glass and tested for hydrolytic resistance to USP <660> and EP 3.2.1.
Can ampoules be supplied in nests and tubs?
Yes. We can pack in nests and tubs for automated filling lines, or in shrink-wrapped trays for manual and semi-automatic lines.
How are ampoules packed to avoid breakage in transit?
Ampoules are packed in divided trays with protective layers, then cartoned and palletized. Packaging specifications and drop-test reports are available on request.
